IF YOU HAVE SOUND CHARACTER, YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU GENERALLY DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR REPUTATION.
Thomas Jefferson once said that a majority is one man with the courage of his convictions.

If you have the courage that comes from the sincere conviction that you are a person of sound character, an honest, dependable, kind, and caring person, you will never have to worry about what others think of you.

If you know in your own heart that you are a good and decent person, you can meet life's challenges head-on and without fear of what others think.

On Defeat...
Posted by fatorangecat @ Fri 25 Apr, 08, 12:26AM under Clemen Says

IT ISN'T THE TRADING DEFEAT, BUT RATHER YOUR MENTAL ATTITUDE TOWARD IT, THAT KICKS YOUR ASS!

There are many things in life that you cannot control (especially the Market), but you can always control your attitude toward them.

Defeat is never permanent unless you allow it to be so.

When you have a positive attitude, you will recognize failure for the impostor that it is and realize that it is really a learning experience, a valuable lesson that will help you succeed with the next attempt. Ask yourself: What could I have done differently that would have altered the outcome? What can I do in the future to minimize problems and mistakes? What did I learn from this experience that I can put to good use next time?

If you approach obstacles and setbacks with a positive attitude, you will be surprised how quickly you can turn defeat into victory.

Positive mind
Posted by fatorangecat @ Sun 20 Apr, 08, 08:43PM under Clemen Says

A POSITIVE MIND FINDS A WAY IT CAN BE DONE. A NEGATIVE MIND LOOKS FOR ALL THE WAYS IT CAN'T BE DONE.

Someone once said, "There are no truths; there are only perceptions of truth."

Whether or not you accept this statement, whatever you believe to be true will become your reality. Your subconscious mind will believe anything you tell it-if you repeat the words often and with conviction.

When you are faced with a daunting task that you've never attempted before, focus on the potential for success, not on the possibilities for failure.

Break the job down into smaller elements and tackle each one separately. The only difference between success and failure in any job is your attitude toward it.

Empowering Questions to condition myself
Posted by fatorangecat @ Sat 12 Apr, 08, 10:30PM under Game of Life
The quality of the questions we frequently ask ourselves will directly reflect on the quality of our life. When i get pissed/frustrated/down, i will ask myself one or some of the below questions that the answers will eventually help to redirect me back to my own track...
...Joy of Life, Pleasure of Learning and Growing, Making a Difference.

1.What am I most happy about in my life now?
What about that makes me happy? How does that make me feel?

2. What am I most excited about in my life now?
What about that makes me excited? How does that make me feel?

3. What am I most proud about in my life now?
What about that makes me proud? How does that make me feel?

4. What am I most grateful about in my life now?
What about that makes me grateful? How does that make me feel?

5. What am I enjoying most in my life now?
What about that makes me enjoy? How does that make me feel?

6. What am I committed to my life now?
What about that makes me committed? How does that make me feel?

7. How do I love? Who loves me?
What about that makes me loving? How does that make me feel?

8. What have I given today? In what ways have I been a giver today?

9. What did I learn today?

10. How has today added to the quality of my life or how can I use today as an investment in my life?

The Problem Solving Questions
1. What is right/great about this problem/day?

2. What is not perfect yet?

3. What am I willing to do to make it the way I want it?

4. What am I willing to not do to make it the way I want it?

5. How can I enjoy doing the things necessary to make it the way I want it?

The question that i am asking myself now (no, neither am i pissed nor frustrated)...

What have I given today? In what ways have I been a giver today?
This is it! This set of empowering questions...
You got it? And have you found your answers yet? :)

Think Freely
Posted by fatorangecat @ Thu 10 Apr, 08, 10:43PM under Game of Life

YOUR MIND IS THE ONLY THING YOU CONTROL EXCLUSIVELY. DON'T GIVE IT AWAY TOO FREELY THROUGH USELESS ARGUMENTS.

You may spend your time and your energy-both physical and mental-in pursuits that yield the greatest return on your investment, or you may fritter it away on activities that will never bear fruit.

Since your mind is entirely your own domain, you may choose to use it to constructive ends, or you can waste mind power-and time-on useless arguments that go nowhere.

There is a vast difference between a spirited intellectual debate and a petty argument. When you discuss concepts, your own knowledge is expanded through the interaction with another thinking person. When you allow yourself to be dragged into arguments about insignificant things, the result will be a dulling of both the mind and the spirit.

A feedback from a mentor and friend.

Posted here just to remind myself and hope it serves as an inspiration to you all as well.

Dear James

Thanks for your feedback.

When you develop a Positive Mental Attitude, you immediately set yourself apart from the crowd.

You become a leader because positive thinking leads to positive action, while negative thinking leads to apathy and inaction. When you take the initiative in any situation, others will follow simply because they like to associate with people who know where they are going. In order to lead, however, you must first be willing to discipline yourself...

The first rule of leadership is never to ask others to do what you are unwilling to do yourself. You can lead only by example.

Being a leader requires you to work harder and longer than the others and proving you are the master of your own destiny.

I am a total failure, indeed.
Posted by fatorangecat @ Sun 21 Oct, 07, 06:39PM under Fat Orange Cat Only

This is a week that i got major setback and breakdown, totally.

1st, baby shaun was unexpectedly, for the unknown reason, hit by seizure and unconscious. And for once, i thought i was gonna lost my loved one... i was totally helpless for that moment. Luckily, there was no damaged done except i got myself 3 years older after this incident. Doc couldn't even do a thing except to advise us to pay close attention on him. day and night. Should this happen again, we shall do a thorough brain CAT scan on Shaun... to see what goes wrong, in his brain...

2nd, am getting weaker, physically & mentally. I believe, if i am not mentally strong, or at least keep it in a less stressful and more relax mode, my physically fitness will not go better either. They go parallel with each other. I Set a goal early in this year that i will be more health consciuos and never get myself fall sick, but, up to now, it has been my 4th time this year. 1st, i had food poisoning (ok, this i can't control), spent 1.5 days on bed. Just about getting back on my foot, baby shaun gave me my biggest nightmare in my whole life, ever. Then, 2 days later,  i was hit by this damn flu virus... that made me dizzy for 2 more days. Worse, it's fell on my Options Trading Championship. The timing couldn't be better...

3rd, i broke my own trading rule. Do not trade when i get sick. I have only myself to blame for. Over the 3 trading days stretch, i lost USD15k. Not because my brain couldn't function properly, matter of fact, all the stocks (10 of them) that i pick, have successfully beaten analysts' estimate, reported outstanding quarterly revenue and guidance. But, the market has no mercy on me. In fact, the market doesn't care at all, it doesn't care how hard working i am, it doesn't care how much effort i put on, it just hit me right on me face. I fell hardly, indeed. I shall rise again. But this time, it will take me longer time... I learnt something out of it, for the least. What i can say is... just accept the fact the, the market is dynamic.

4th, what's the big deal of the trading thingy??? simply bcoz it's my project/plan to get me out of  my rat race. This championship is an opportunity to test on my system, which i have been working on for the past 3 years.  And i failed miserably. There are some missing pieces yet to be found in my system... i have to start from square one. I lost the war, but i haven't lost the battle yet.

Lastly, i need an avenue for me to express all my bad feelings and emotions  All my loved ones, are so caught out in life, who do not really seem to have spare time, or perhaps to bother, to listen at all... No, i am not asking for your pity. I am not asking for your advice. I am just asking for you to be there with me... while i am pursuing my dreams, alone... is there too much for you?

I am a total failure, indeed. I just realized, this textmalaysia site is my best place for self express afterall.  Great job, ddcat!

Love
Posted by fatorangecat @ Sun 23 Sep, 07, 05:15PM under Game of Life

My parents never taught me what Love is. Neither did i learn Love from school. However, we normally learn it from heaps of books, love story novels, movies, friends around who share their experiences in love relationship too. Question, are those stories, movies and experiences sharing of love clearly state what real Love is?

Well, I have my own version too. Don't take my words for it. You must experience Love yourselves through life, and that's the only way that you can truly learn what Love is.

Love begins with accepting of who the person is, and who the person is not. It's a stand that i made for my loved ones. In regardless of what's right or wrong and what's good or bad. And we can't trade love for love, because there is no equality in love, it's never been fair in Love, get it right, my friends.

We Love, when we are being generous to open up ourselves,  being authentic to ourselves and others, and being vulnarable at the same time... As such, i say, it takes courage and strength for ones to stay on course, to learn and to grow together and to love, unconditionally for each other.

And, always remember, we can't love, when we expect. We can't love, when we judge. We can't love, when we compare and we can't love, when we doubt.

Simple huh? But it's never easy to do though...

Posted by fatorangecat @ Mon 08 Jan, 07, 01:46PM under Game of Life

Listen Women, all your Men want for you is to love you and to make you happy! And this is it!.

If you are consistently not happy, your men will not happy too. And if your men think that they have been "trying" all the possible ways to make you happy but onli to find out they are a failure...your men will withdraw and do something to fulfill his own needs instead.

Listen Men, juz when you think you have been doing all the possible ways to love and to mk your women happy... Yes, you have done good job EXCEPT fulfulling your women's needs. i mean real needs!

Definition of Responsibility
Posted by fatorangecat @ Thu 26 Oct, 06, 12:13AM under Game of Life

i have a journal that has been with me for almost 3 years. I have stopped filling the page for more than a year. Happened that tonight, i flip thru the pages and found this essential word that can shape our lives powerfully that i wanna share with you all here. I learnt this word from Landmark education- the expert in Anthology - the science and the art of Being that shaped who i am being :)

Responsibility begins with the willingness to be cause in the matter of one's life. Ultimately, it is a context from which one chooses to live.

Responsibility is not burden, fault, praise, blame, credit, shame or guilt. In responsibility, there is no evaluation of good or bad, right or wrong. There is simply "What's so, and your stand".

Being responsibility starts with the willingness to deal with a situation from the view of life that you are the generator of what you do, what you have and what you are. That is not the truth. It is a place to stand.

No one can make you responsible, nor can you impose responsibility on another. It is a grace you give yourself - an empowering context that leaves you with a say in the matter of life.

Got it? Do write to me if you wanna know more :)
