How My Appearance Deceived My Friends & Acquaintances :)

In a personality evaluation test during my participation on a communication course recently, the group members were required to write 5-6 personalities for each others, including ourselves. There were 2 Friends & 6 acquaintances in my groups & they perceived me as:

Friendly(6), Cheerful(4), Open Minded(3), Humor(2),  Rebellious(2), Talkative(2), Smart(2), Kind, Joyful, Strong Personality, Supportive, Polite, Active, Adaptable,  Sensible,  Outspoken,  Opinionated, Well Groomed, Positive, Neat, Actor (Not natural), Arrogant, Responsible,  Dramatic, Dynamic, Creative.

And i wrote myself (disclosing the personalities that my friends do not know): Inflexible, Indecisive, Unreasonable, Lazy, and Nasty :)

Human being likes to make assumption and tells story. We never stop doing that! We are actually a story telling machine! We pick up clues, all the time to support our story and to make ourselves believe to the story that we tell, most of the time (being self righteous all the time!)

To me, an authentic friendship/intimacy relationship will only come from we being loving and open to each others. And this really requires strength, courage and honesty to do so.

Ones must always do ""self disclosure" to avoid others' assumption and to avoid the so called "perception distortion". Juz like the above personalities test... i do agree with a few of them but not most of them.

My friends, please be open... i wont eat you, i will love you more instead!

i believe "Ego-istic" has little to do with self disclosure but it has something to do with self righteous or being right all the time.
